French itinerary: our advices – Part 1

France makes me immediately think about the giant Tour Eiffel, the pretty bohemian style, the delicious cheeses and wines, “La vie en Rose”, the Haute Couture…

To live your best French travel-experience, there are some essential stages that it’s absolutely impossible to miss. Our first itinerary is a classic one: Paris (how could be different!), Loire castles and the royal palace of Versailles.

Paris, with its wide boulevard, the Seine, the small brasseries and the charming cafés, the historical clubs as the Moulin Rouge and the famous restaurant Maxim’s, symbolizes the timeless elegance, the “joie de vivre”, the alive essence of the shining Belle Epoque.

Great tips for you: walk around the small alleys of the picturesque Montmartre (including to pose for a portrait!), visit the Louvre and meet the enigmatic Da Vinci’s Gioconda and the sensual Venus of Milo, contemplate the Impressionism masterpieces at the Musée d’Orsay… Discover the mysteries of Notre-Dame cathedral, make a river-trip – during the sunset time – on the typical bateau-mouche, relax at the Buddha Bar located few steps from Place de la Concorde… These are just some unforgettable experiences to live in the city!

There are more than three hundred castles (châteaux) of Loire, placed in the homonymous valley, one more fascinating than the previous: we have visited Amboise, Blois, Chambord and Chenonceau, loving the architecture and the green gardens.

A special mention goes to… the royal palace of Versailles: our sensation has been to live again – even if through our fantasy – the glories of Louis XVI and his frivolous wife Marie Antoinette. Crystals, mirrors and rich decorations make the salons to look amazing, despite we have always imagined them bigger.

In the end, how is it possible not to organize an excursion to the magic park of Disneyland? That’s unmissable!

I wish you a wonderful day, see you next post with the second part of the itinerary 🙂
